Welcome to West Sound Technical Skills Center!
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, there is an incredible sense of momentum at West Sound Tech. Our theme, “Level Up,” continues to capture who we are and where we are headed. At WST, we believe every student has the ability to grow, develop their talents, discover their purpose, and take the next step toward a successful future.
This year, more than 600 students from across our region will have the opportunity to learn in one of our outstanding career and technical education programs. From Automotive, Welding, Construction and Multi-Trades to Culinary Arts, Dental Assisting, Fire Science, Maritime Careers, Professional Medical Careers, Cosmetology, Esthetics, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, and 3D Animation & Game Design, our programs provide students with something that is truly unique, the opportunity to learn by doing.
And this year, we are taking another major step forward.
After years of planning, design, construction, and anticipation, our new West Sound Tech building is now becoming a reality. This state-of-the-art facility provides our students and staff with modern classrooms, industry-inspired labs, expanded learning spaces, and new opportunities to prepare for the careers and industries of tomorrow.
But a new building is only part of what makes this year special. Our people are what make WST special. Our instructors bring industry experience, passion, and a commitment to helping students develop both technical skills and the professional habits employers value. Our staff, families, community partners, and sending districts all play an important role in helping our students succeed.
At West Sound Tech, we want students to do more than simply complete a program. We want them to show up, engage, build confidence, earn credentials and college credit, develop real-world skills, and leave WST with a clear next step. Whether that next step is college, an apprenticeship, the military, employment, entrepreneurship, or another career pathway, our goal is to help every student be ready.
We also know that success starts with being present. Attendance matters. Participation matters. Effort matters. Every day at WST is an opportunity to learn something new, practice a skill, build a relationship, and move one step closer to your goals.
So, whether you are returning for another year or walking through our doors for the very first time, I challenge you to make this your year to Level Up.
