The Fire Science program at WST offers students the hands-on experience alongside the theory-based knowledge necessary to work in careers in fire safety and EMS/EMT. Students may enroll their junior or senior year of high school and can take up to two years of the program. Students earning a 'C' grade or better AND meeting all the required competencies earn free college credit into post-secondary fire science programs.
Many of our students are interested in earning their wild land firefighting certification as well.
