Dear West Sound Tech Students and Families,

Welcome to West Sound Technical Skills Center! We are excited to have you join us for the 2026–2027 school year. Your first day at WST is Monday, August 31, 2026, and we are ready to get started!

This year, we are continuing our theme of “Leveling Up Our Skills.” At WST, that means more than learning a technical skill. It means becoming more confident, responsible, prepared, and ready for the world beyond high school.

We have an exciting year ahead. We are thrilled to welcome back our Culinary Arts program, including our brand-new commercial kitchen and Skillz’ Cafe. We are also opening our brand-new welding shop, giving students an outstanding space to develop skills for careers in the welding industry. As the year progresses, we will continue moving programs into their new and improved spaces throughout our campus.

This year, we are also placing a strong emphasis on attendance and the hours you spend in class. When you choose West Sound Tech, you are choosing to invest your time in learning skills that can lead to a career. Your time here matters.

We expect every student to take their time at WST seriously and make attending class a priority. Being here every day, arriving on time, participating, practicing your skills, working safely, and learning from your instructors are all part of becoming a successful professional.

Your instructors and staff are here to support you, challenge you, and help you discover what you are capable of. Whether you plan to enter the workforce, continue your education, pursue an apprenticeship, or explore a career, WST is here to help you take that next step.
